YOU COULD BE DEEP IN WITCHCRAFT

As we come close to Christ’s return to ratify His Kingdom, many are looking and searching everywhere for answers about the future. All these sources are false except from the Spirit of God and His Word. What makes them false is that they are from satan. They include the occult practices… a counterfeit of God’s power, sorcery, divination, fortune telling, séances, psychics, consulting mediums etc. All these are referred to as witchcraft.

          Today, a desire to know and control the future is leading many to witchcraft and this is detestable to God. It is the most serious sin because it is rebellion against God…1 Samuel 15:23…“For rebellion is as [serious as] the sin of divination (fortune-telling), and disobedience is as [serious as] false religion and idolatry. Because you have rejected the word of the Lord, He also has rejected ^[a]you”… and as long as a person rebels, they close the door to forgiveness and restoration with God. Soon enough, one is rejected and death is paramount…Revelation 21:8…God flatly forbids us from travelling this road even out of curiosity. In the Old Testament, a witch/wizard was punished with death. A whole nation was driven out ahead of the Israelites for practicing these detestable things…Deuteronomy 18:10-14.

          Everyone today is interested with what the future holds and we often look to others for guidance. But God warned in the OT…Leviticus 20:6 and warns us today about looking to occult for advice. Witchcraft was outlawed in the OT because God was not the source of the information. In our major cities around the country almost all electric poles have some adverts of the best ‘daktari’ healing all sorts of emotional ailments. About seven years ago, I was asked to comment by a TV station on this topic. At this time in my life, I was in the hotbed of witchcraft…being 'thrown' at me. Sickness and diseases were being ‘thrown’ at me and even death. As the Bible says, God has given us certain measure of faith and gifts of the Spirit to discern and many of the witchcraft manifested in bees, spiders, safari ants, snakes etc. this was in preparation to my calling today…Glory to God. The area in which you are tried most as a Christian could be your area of service to God, it could be your ministry. 

          BEWARE: occult practitioners and witches are fakes whose predictions cannot be trusted. At worst, they are in contact with evil spirits and are thus extremely dangerous. We do not need to look to the occult for information about the future, we have the scriptures so we may obtain all the information we may need. Witchcraft is often being used today in businesses and against people. Many who result to witchcraft are seated in church pews every Sunday undetected. A few months ago, I was face to face with such a church going witch, her work, to destroy marriages. She happened to ‘touch’ my friend’s marriage. She knows who I am and I know who she is and who she consults. The Spirit led me to reach out to her in love thru a ‘gift’ and I did…your gift will make a way for you…Proverbs 18:16. 1 Peter 4:8…Above all, have ^[a]fervent and unfailing love for one another, because love covers a multitude of sins [it overlooks unkindness and unselfishly seeks the best for others]. We are now planning to take prayers to her house…Glory to God. Jesus can change you too.

          The info satan offers fascinates many people through horoscopes, fortune telling, bizarre cults etc., an interest coming from a desire to know and control the future. This info is distorted and completely false. With the trustworthy guidance of the Holy Spirit, through the Bible and the church, we don’t need to turn to occult sources for faulty information. While it is important to recognize satan’s evil activities, we should avoid any curiosity about or involvement with demonic forces. If we resist the devil and his influences, he will flee from us…James 4:7.
