RAINING CATERPILLARS

God’s activities in heaven continue to shape the events on earth. Christ’s second coming is imminent and the wheels culminating His return are already in motion, there is no stopping. As we celebrate the second day of the FESTIVAL OF SHELTERS – Succoth with the Jews/Jesus People, as they remember God’s protection and guidance in the wilderness, we too, the Body of Christ renew our commitment to God through Jesus Christ our Savior and trust in His guidance and protection at this time when He has opened the 4^th Seal Judgment as prophesied by Apostle John in Revelation 6:7, 8. The Horse relating to this judgment and destruction is Pale Green and its rider is named Death and his companion is the Grave. The two are given authority over a quarter of the earth to kill with the sword [conflict on earth], famine [scarcity on earth], disease/plague [widespread death on earth] and wild animals. This judgment will take place concurrently. God is still limiting His judgment, meaning it is not complete and there’s still time for unbelievers to turn to Christ and away from their sin [repentance].                                                                                   

Since the beginning of COVID-19, there has been little if any repentance with the unbelievers. This is not the time for communal repentance, Christ wants to rapture His Church with everyone included. It does not matter what you have believed in before but now is the chance. You are His creation and Christ His Son, loves you and has not given up on you. God has revealed that He is going to RAIN CATERPILLARS of all colors. They will be too many such that it will deter and slow down the movement of vehicles. Presence of caterpillars denote "to devour" or "consume", to finish off what the locusts remained – any green leave will be its food. In this case, the limited judgment not only demonstrates God’s wrath on sin, but also His merciful love in giving people yet another opportunity to turn to Him before He brings final judgment. We must not presume upon God’s patience. Our repentance must be visible and authentic.                              

The fourth seal is announced by the fourth living being with the face of an eagle from the south. Just as the Holy Spirit is seen symbolically, in the seven lighted lamps, so the living beings represent the attributes – the qualities and character of God. These creatures are not real animals. Like the Cherubim, the highest order of angles, they guard God’s throne, lead others in worship and proclaim God’s holiness. God’s attributes symbolized in the animal-like appearance of the four creatures are majesty and power- the lion, faithfulness – the ox, in human face, and the eagle in flight, sovereignty and divinity. The Old Testament Prophet Ezekiel saw four similar creatures in one of his vision Ezekiel 1:5-10. The early church fathers saw a connection between these beings and the four gospels: lion with Matthew, Christ the lion of Judah; ox with Mark, Christ as the servant; the human with Luke, Christ as the perfect human; the eagle in flight with John, Christ as the Son of God, exalted and divine.

The four living beings and four wheels in Ezekiel 1:27, 28, are powerful pictures of judgment, yet the rainbow over the throne symbolizes God’s never-ending faithfulness to His people. Just as God sent a rainbow to Noah to symbolize His promise never again to destroy the earth by a flood in Genesis 9:8-17, so this rainbow symbolizes God’s promise to preserve those who remain faithful to Him. The purpose of God’s judgment is to correct us and ultimately, to allow perfect peace and righteousness to reign on the earth forever.

 

Even as Christ continue to urge His followers to be watchful and prepare for His coming, the time of the calamites in Revelation 6 will be shortened for the sake of God’s elect. Else, not a single person can survive Matthew 24:22. But just like the days of Noah, people continue to do as they will without heeding to God’s warnings through His prophets and the floods came and God’s righteous judgment came to pass. Just as in the days of Sodom and Gomorrah, people are busy with their business as usual, church as usual and fire rained from heaven and destroyed the two cities. You will see that today, despite the plague of Corona Virus, life is back to normal and many believe it’s none existence. Many ignore the laid out precautions by the government. And suddenly, the Body of Believers will be raptured and many will be LEFT BEHIND
