LAST DAYS NOT MAANDAMANO

The predictions of the Bible are coming to pass not only in your nation, but in the entire world. The Church is doing very little, if any, in informing the world of the truths found in Scripture partaining to the Kingdom of God. In Matthew 24, Mark 13, and Luke 21 – often called the Olivet Discourse. Jesus talked a lot about two things: the end times and His second coming. In here, we shall concentrate on what has been said about the end times as Jesus and the Old Testament prophets predicted.

These prophesies are not trying to encourage us to speculate about exactly when Christ the Coming King would return. Instead, the Spirit of God is urging us to be watchful and be prepared for the return of the Judge’s Son. If we serve Jesus faithfully now, we will be ready when He returns.

Prophet Daniel spoke about it in the ninth chapter verses twenty six and twenty seven. Although there are several discussions on the numbers, times and events in these verses, my view would be that they would still be fulfilled in the future under the antichrist… Matthew 24:15, “So when you see the appalling sacrilege [the abomination that astonishes and makes desolate], spoken of by the prophet Daniel, standing in the Holy Place–let the reader take notice and ponder and consider and heed [this]–[Daniel 11:31; 12:11]“. The point is, despite the difficult times, they have an end. God is in control of what you are seeing now… not your government. And He will be victorious over evil.

What was ‘the sacrilegious object that causes desecration” mentioned by both Daniel and Jesus? Rather than one specific object, event or person, it could be seen as any deliberate attempt to mock and deny the reality of God’s Presence. Daniel’s prediction came true in 168 B. C. When Antiochus Epiphanes sacrificed a pig to Zeus on the sacred Temple altar. Jesus’ words were remembered in A. D. 70 when Titus placed an idol on the site of the burned Temple after destroying Jerusalem. In our time the antichrist is yet to set up an image of himself and order everyone to worship it… 2 Thessalonians 2:4; Revelation 13:14, 15 – these are all abomination to God.

At the beginning of of year 2020, we saw an inversion of Locusts in our nation. It was partial because this didn’t happen everywhere in the world. Joel 2:1ff implies that the locust plague would be only the forerunner of an event greater crisis – plagues and scarcity followed not just in this part of the world but partially worldwide.

Apostle John gives a clear definition of antichrist in 1 John 2:18-23…they are false teachers who pretend to be in the Kingdom of God and they lure weak members away from the King. But just before the world ends one great antichrist [the false christ/the beast from the sea who will have authority over the economy] will arise… Revelation 13:1. It is interesting to note that whenever we talk of financial systems, we speak in watery terminologies: float, sails, loan sharks, current sea, frozen assets, bank, cash flow, pool of money, liquid assets etc. We talk of watery terminologies because marine kingdom controls finances. At the very end, this accomplice of Satan will be given political power that include finance. The antichrist, the dragon [satan] and the beast out of the earth [false holy spirit, Revelation 13:11ff] will form the unholy trinity as a direct opposition to the Holy Trinity - to rule the world since satan failed to convince Jesus to do his bidding. But, we do not need to fear this evil in the world. The Holy Spirit will show us their errors so we will not be deceived.

In apostle John’s revelations from the LORD Jesus, it was predicted that a seven three-part judgments will take place – 7-Seal Judgment [Revelation Chapter 6], 7-Trumpet Judgment [Revelation Chapter 8 & 9] and 7-Bowl Judgment [Revelation Chapter 16].Christ Himself has already set in motion events that will bring about the end of human history. Therefore, blaming your government for events that were predicted close to 2000 years is absurd. Jesus called them birth pain… Matthew 24:8, “All this is but the beginning [the early pains] of the birth pangs [of the intolerable anguish]”. Conflicts, scarcity and widespread deaths on earth are inevitable.

The second seal judgment was opened from September 2018, the third seal in January 2020, the fourth seal was revealed towards the end of 2020 to date – we are now in the fourth seal of Revelation 6:7, 8. We need to pay attention to this particular seal because it carries the 2nd and 3rd seals plus an additional of death caused by wild animals. I saw a certain nation cautioning their citizens to avoid national parks after June this year… why? The fourth seal is in view – the rider of this horse is called death and the grave following him closely. When the seventh seal is opened, the seventh trumpets judgment are revealed. In the same way, the seventh trumpet will announce the seven bowl judgment in Revelation 11:15 and 16:1-21. The Trumpet judgments, like the seal judgments are only partial. God’s final and complete judgment has not yet come. The Bowl judgment will be complete… meaning, it will affect all who will be on earth. But the good news is, God is Not in the habit of punishing the righteous with the wicked.

Jesus was very articulate concerning the last days in the Olivet Discourse. Prayerfully, read Matthew 24:1-28; Mark 13:1-23; Luke 21:5-24. In these verses, Jesus predicted both near and distant events without putting them in chronological order. Some of the Disciples lived to see the destruction of Jerusalem in A. D. 70. This event assures us that everything else Jesus predicted [calling them birth pangs] will come to pass. We have seen nothing yet. The predictions warn us on how to live now. Be spiritually alert and prepared at all times. Not gazing in the heavens for His return but being busy preaching and demonstrating the Kingdom of God – life in the Kingdom is about power and dominion… Genesis 1:26ff.

Guard against any false teachings because they are on the rise, causing Kingdom citizens to dilute or reject aspect of their faith. Such false teaching can be very direct or extremely subtle. We ought to respond quickly when they sense false teaching being promoted. The truth does not mind honest questions – sometimes, the source may prove to be ignorant of the error and appreciate the correction. But a firm warning may at least keep potential victims from disastrous result of apostasy… 1 Timothy 1:3-7.
